Vinay Chandan called from Birni, Giridih to talk about the conventional methods of Water conservation. He pointed out a number of traditional ways of conserving Water for different purposes. To name a few He said villagers dig tube wells, ponds, fisheries, canals etc to tap naturally available Water. The MNREGA funded canals are used for irrigating the fields. There are number of small sized tube wells installed in many places which is used to fetch water. He also mentioned about the big tube well installed in the his village mostly used for watering the plants in the fields.
