Kanchan Kesari from Bherno, Gumla called to inform the listeners of JMR about the sudden protest by the women folk against "Hariya alcohol" in almost five villages of the Arhoi Panchayat. He informed that, the women folk visited each and every household to check and warn the villages not to drink or sell the same. They took this initiative to stop the illegal selling and consumption of the local liquor which only disturbs the social environment. This initiative had some guidelines that a person making or selling the local alcohol would be charged rupees one thousand as fine. They also appealed the people not to drink and create chaos in the society, as doing so from now on would turn out expensive with punishments and fines, with the help of the local police. He concluded saying, that the consumption of local liquor was only deteriorating the society's structure.
