Meghna Sahoo, TWT president recorded a message for community- Community should ensure after desludhing, the sludge must be transferred to Sewerage treatment plant and if any individual has identified the person who supposed to dumping sludge under the drainage then they can directly tweet to BMC.

Today Snehalata Pradhan, CMC member, Ward no 50 visiting to IVRS studio and recorded awareness message on heat wave. Due to extreme heat wave, State Relief commissioner declared yesterday to closed the schools and anganwadi centre from 12th April to 16th April. Snehalata also shared knowledge about precautions using during heat wave- Do not go out from 12 noon to 3 pm as during that time high temperature occurs, use wet cloth on head, glass on eyes, water bottle in hands and umbrella and fully covered body with cotton cloth. Never forget to drink sufficient water, lemon water and rice water. Do not use alcohol and drugs during this time and let us together protect ourselves from heat wave.

I am an orthopedic impaired person can't move properly and also i am a lactating mother. Though Piped water was connected in my house but i did not get sufficient water as the duration was very less. During heavy rainfall, flooding and heat wave, i faced challenged to arrange and consume water. I became member of sanitation sub-committee by CFAR and we have submitted a petition to WATCO department for taking immediate action. Now we got adequate water timely. I request not to waste water and never ever forget to close the tap”.

I am an elderly person residing in Palasuni Munda Sahi Ward no 05. Supply water is connected to my house but the pressure was very low so that i get 20-30 minutes water. Especially during unsudden rainfall, heart wave and flooding i faced challenged to get water. After submitting the petition in WATCO department, now water is coming timely. We have Tubewell and we are using this during disaster. We are in process to repair the tubewell because if we can restore the other sources of water then we could able to deal with risk”.

Residing in Domunhi Basti, Ward no 05. We are living since more than 30 years and 80 households are scheduled tribe. We are using river water and going to more than 2 kilometers. During rainy days and heavy rain, the river water gets muddy and overflowing there is risk to take water from river. During summer and heat wave, the water gets dried so we are facing challenges. We have submitted application but till now no response from government department so requesting to resolve our issue.
