Previously, the residents used water from a well for domestic purposes. However, the government later provided a supply of water. Unfortunately, when a large apartment was constructed nearby and the apartment owner dug a borewell. As a result, the well water became dry and the well is now not in functional condition. Which is difficult to survive in extreme weather and when the supply water is stop.

An elder man named Maheswar Sahoo shared that they have a twin pit toilet tank at their household level. In one pit, sludge is stored while in the other pit, liquid is stored. When they manufactured the double pit, they were not aware of the twin pit technology. This was an idea they came up with on their own.
