I am calling from Metamalai Its been 13 years of our marriage. Till now we have not received our ration card. What are the documents required to apply for ration card. How to get ration card? If newly married people are going into a separate family then get the cancellation document of your name from your parents ration card from zonal supply officer. Then apply for new ration card with your zonal supply officer where you are going to reside now. Documents to be attached along with the application are - housing tax document or, electricity bill, address proof, voter ID, with passport size photo. After filing it, concerned officer will directly and inquire about it. Within 1 or 2 months you will be getting new ration card.

If your child is born at home, the birth of your child will be registered in near by Anganwadi. If your child is born in Govt hospital, you can get the birth certificate in Govt hospital. If you have not taken the birth certificate from many years, go to sub Registerer office and give petition asking for birth certificate. Please mention the date of birth, parents name. Within 1 week the Sub registrer office will give you birth certificate if its already available. If its not registered there, they will give document saying birth certificate is not registered here. Take this document to RDO office then it will be returned to PAO as petition and investigation will be done. Then you will get the birth certificate.
