After Independence first election was conducted in the year 1952. Now April 6th 2021, 16th assembly elections are happening. Expected election and campaigns are in full swing. But 2021 elections are little different. Total voter o TN are 6,26,74,460. Women voters are 3,18,28,227 and male voters are 3,08,28,473 and transgenders are 7,246. In this assembly elections those who have voters ID can vote with it. Those who dont have voters ID can vote with 11 documents, says election commission. And the election commission has declared the details of the documents. Those are adhar card, MGNREGA card, bank and post office passbook, labour dept's insurance card, voters ID, PAN card, National population registration card, Passport, pension document with photo, Central and State Govt ID card, MP MLA ID card.
