I am Poongodi from Sanarpatti. I conducted a meeting in Anjalipatti. Workers of Ambika mill and Pannariyamman mill participated in this meeting. The workers said, when we go for day shift earlier they used to leave us by 4 O clock but now they are leaving us at 3.45. The other mill workers said that they are not doing like that in our mill. This shows that when all the mill workers join together and discuss they will understand what in happening in their mill. If they are going late the supervisor is answerable. The other workers said that they will go and ask in their mill too. They understood that through mill they can learn many things. I am very happy to meet them. Even they were happy to know about the mill. Thank you

Indian factories Act 1948, Section 59 says that if a yarn mill worker is working more than 9 hours a day or more than 48 hours in a week, the mill should give double salary for the extra hours worked. These extra working hours is called as overtime and wages for this extra time is called as Overtime wages.
