I am Poongodi. Today i conducted mill workers meeting. Workers shared their views. They shared that in Ambika mill they are getting workers signature in blank paper. If asked they are not saying what it is. TTCU should action for it. And they also shared that in all mills Diwali bonus will be given so they have increased the speed of Machine. They are not able to go to lunch break and not even able to go to bathrooms. They are torturing alot. They have also register about it.
Today i conducted mill worker meeting. While asking workers about the problem faced in work place, they said since Diwali i nearing they are supposed to give Bonus. So they are increasing the speed of machine. They are scolding us to come from lunch within 10 minutes. The workers shared that due to heavy workload they are feeling like saying no to Bonus. Then I asked them to shared about what they like and what they hate. They said they like family and they hate mill work. It was painful to hear that. Workers are going to mills due to their family situation. So i feel that mill management should understand it and try to improve the work environment.
I am Bhuvaneshwari from Avanipatti. Committee meeting was held today. We go to work and come back but we dont know about the rights. Now she has told us about it. We didnt know that we are suppose to work for 8 hours.
