News read by Nataraj from Ambedkar union Ottanchathiram. On 10th March Ambedkar union and Aditamilar union conducted their weekly meeting. Coordinators, Adv. George Marx, Jayasudha, headed the meeting. Aditamilar incharges Aagurani. Prema, Mutthurani, Vimala, Mahalakshmi, and Ambedkar union incharges, Nataraj, Mariyammal were present in the meeting. As agenda we discussed last week work. On 7th March we met branch incharges in Semmadapatti village collected the necessary informations for public event. On 8th March public event was conducted at Semmadapatti village. Adv. George Marx was present in this event. More than 40 people including administrators were present in the meeting. 20 new people joined the union. On 9th March went to dist collector and gave petition to nullify farmers card and issue welfare board card. 11 people were present in this. From 5th March to 11th March 276 people called NK radio. 15 people recorded in NK radio. Adv. George Marx took the training on Maintenance of office, documents, registering the marriage. As part of this week's work, we decided to conduct women's day program on 15th March at Thippampatti village and also discussed about popularizing NK radio. Pamphlets has been print for women' day celebration and being distributed in all villages.

On 15th March Sunday working women's day is celebrated on behalf of Kodaimalai Ambedkar union at Kodaikanal Corporation town hall at 10 am. Kodaimalai union incharges, Activists, women leaders, members, social activists will be present in the event. Semmalar union, Ambedkar union, Aditamilar democratic union, social activists, women leaders will be present.

My name is Nallamal. I am from Tirumangalam taluk. I am associate head and administrator in Aditamilar democratic union. I didnt knew what is union. I worked for 15 years in garment company. Some of the union workers came to us and gave awareness. I usually go and attend meeting and training. After coming here, i got to know so may things. I learnt how much importance is given, what all should be done to release women, problems faced by women, how to solve it. My parents made me to study till 12th std. But still i was not able to get a job. So our kids should study well and get good Govt job. I think my child should be able to get a clerk job. I am telling all things to my kids and telling the benefits of each and everything. Where to approach and how to face every problem. In present generation we see sexual harassment cases more. So we give awareness to kids. Happy women's day to all.

I am Nagarathinam. Last week I met a Assam state worker. Her daughter had eye pain. She works in mill work. So because of that heat she got eye pain. She knows that i am from labour union. She asked me whether hospital expenses can be done through union. What i thought was she doesnt know the rights of labours. They left their state and came to this state to work. But they dot know what rights do they have. I really feel bad for that. I gave her this number and asked her to dial number 9 if she doesnt know Tamil.
I am Loganathan from Dindugal. Women sexual harassment is something not acceptable. Mother gave birth to us and raised us. Women are the eyes of the country. we should consider all women as our mothers.
