I am Sudha from Kodaimalai Ambedkar uion. Kodaimalai Ambedkar union conducted women's day on 15th March. 57 people were present in the program. During the program we discussed about women's right, dowry issue, sexual harassment, how to safeguard from all these. Adv. Priyanka told about fighting back for sexual assault, Adv. Christina spoke about domestic violence.
I am Dhanamani from Ambedkar union. Women's day was celebrated at Thippampatti on March 15th. Adv. George Marx, Panchayath head Lakshmi, Maduraiveeran were present. they told about what is women's day etc. we also told everyone about NK radio.
Death certificate of Krishnan's son Ilappam from elamalai village was delayed. Hence it was registered in registrar office. Today we helped him to get the document. Song for Women's Day
I am Ananthameena, Administrator of Semmalar union. We have recorded in NK radio about sexual abuse happened in Sathur taluk, Chinnakollapatti. Semmalar union took the case and took legal action. The accused was arrested under POCSO act and victim child is safe now. Thanks to NK radio and semmalar union.
Grievance: I am Sudha from Aditamilar union, Alagapuri village. My Sister was doing sanitary work. She was died the year 2017. Its been 3 years. We have not received funeral benefit money. Reply: I am Ponnusamy from TLRF. Within the 10 days of sanitary workers death all documents should be collected and 3.5 lakh relief fund should be given. If this has not happened, deceased workers service book, PF number, salary slip and Adhar card, smart card should be given to Panchayath secretary. If you do this, they will take actions to give the money. If they are not doing it, please call this number again and register.
News read by Vimala from Aditamilar democratic union. On 2nd March weekly planning meeting was organised. Coordinators, Mr. Ponnusamy, Adv. George Marks, Union incharge Alagurani, Prema, Mutthurani, Nallammal, Panchvarnam, Vimala were present. Ponnusamy sir explained very well about next level of union activities. He explained very well on how to get death certificate. Adv. George Marks explained about how to rescue bonded labours, whom to complain. As a result of last weeks planning on 28th Feb, Ponmri, Nallammal and Kaliswari were selected as branch incharge in Agathapatti village. Nallamal has finished her BA Tamil, Muneeshwari BA English, Rangan BA Tamil, Ayyanar has finished Bcom and still waiting to get job. At present there are 40 students who are studying. Ponamri has accepted to conduct evening school. There are 5 students ready to write competitive exams. 6 people are ready to get there union card in Kodangi village. On 28th Feb, Nandini, Padma, Nandini were selected as branch incharges in Kilavipuram village. 4 people in this village have finished their higher studies. 5 people have completed their vocational training. Nandini is ready to take evening classes. Alagurani, Prema, Mutthurani, Nallamal, Vimala have attended Policy making training.
1) Chennai High court has asked TN Govt to reply in the case to stop protests against CAA. 2) Chennai High court has passed order to give detailed report about rehabilitation for fishermen's families who are affected due to Srilankan attack. 3) Students are boycotting the classes and protesting. They are condemning the termination of on Hon. Lecturers and insisting to give them permanent employment in the same college, they also insisting on providing basic facilities for Tiruvaru Govt college. 4) Employees of Tamilnadu consumer goods are protesting insisting on giving pension to corporation employees, permanent the contract staffs and other 16 points.
I am Nagarathinam. In NK you told that workers should get 24 hours rest. But in some mills i have seen that workers will work for the whole night through out the week and comes back in the morning. When the shift changes, they will go to work at 2 O' clock. They wont get 2-3 hours rest. They are facing many such difficulties.
