Confusion In Getting Death Relief Fund?

I am Mahalakshmi from Aditamilar union. A person named Sumathi from Ranipet has welfare card. Her husband died. Sumathi has asked for the funeral fund to VO office. VO said you have welfare card so you can go and ask welfare office and sent her back. From where will she get money? From VO or welfare office? I am really confused

Those who are members in welfare board, if they die naturally while in work the family will get Rs.20000 as relief fund and for funeral they will get Rs.5000. You can get it from welfare office. If only person has registered in family and others have not registered you cannot get money. If a person dies naturally who is not registered in welfare board can get funeral expenses fund from village office. Thank you
