12 people have lost their life in fire cracker accident at Sittiaparai, Viruthunagar dist, Sathur. Most of them are women workers. Constantly from past few days accidents in fire cracker companies are happeningin Sivakasi taluk. number of workers death is increasing. There are no facilities or structures for the safety of workers. There is no proper gaps in between the building. Many are working by sitting under the trees.
