I am Adv george Marks. Today we are going to see about child labour. As per our Govt rule, kids have right to education. As per law appointing a child for work who is below 14 years is an offence. Law has given them right to study in this age. Making a child to work in factory or mill is a punishable offence. What to do if you see any child labour. If you see a child below 14 years working, if its a factory you can complain about it to inspector who are exclusively for factories. They are called inspect for factories. If you see any child labour working in shop, mechanic shop or any office, you can complain about it to labour inspector. If you feel its difficult then you can call Childline number 1098. You can save the child without disclosing your name. Right to education has given compulsory education for children. Sending kids to study at this age is very important. When a garment is manufactured and exported to aboard, a certificate saying this product has not been produced by a child labour. Because only then they will buy it. If you see a child working anywhere, please call 1098 immediately. They will take actions to rescue the child. Even if you have doubts about the child's age, then also its not a problem. They can verify the documents of that child, or take to doctor for verification or it can also be verified by the growth of the child's teeth. Child labour is a crime. It not only effects other workers life but also the life of the child is affected. They will be given more work and less salary, they will not ask any question. Thats why child labours are appointed in many places. Children should study and play at this age. As a part of helping their father, they can go to harmless works in free time. But working in factory or mechanic shed without going for school is wrong. Its our duty to save the children.
