I am Poongoi from Sanarpatti. I conducted mill workers meeting in Anjallipatti. They are working in Pannari mill. Many are working there and they are going by Van. For none of the worker PF is being deducted. When i asked them they said, they were told that they will get weekly wages. So we thought of taking weekly payment. And they were told that PF will be deducted only for monthly salary. I think mill has not told them about the benefits of deducting PF and law allows to deduct PF. They didnt know about it. We told them to ask the mill to ask for monthly salary and ask them to deduct PF. I also told them that whatever amount you contribute or PF, even the employer will contribute the same. They were surprised to hear that. In this meeting i have told them that PF must be deducted for every worker. They said that from this month itself we will ask them to deduct PF.
