Overtime wages should be double the wages. Indian factories Act 1948, Section 59 says that if a yarn mill worker is working more than 9 hours a day or more than 48 hours in a week, the mill should give double salary for the extra hours worked. These extra working hours is called as overtime and wages for this extra time is called as Overtime wages.
