I am Poongodi from Sanarpatti. Yesterday when I met workers, a person said, he worked there for 31 years. But due to high number of workers there, he was sent out. I dont know whether a person who worked for 31 years can be made made permanent or not. I request TTCU to give me the answer.

This comes under 2 Acts. One is, a worker cannot be sent after completing 31 years. He can be sent only after reaching the retirement age. Secondly, they say that the worker was not made as permanent worker. Surely it is wrong that he was not made permanent in this 31 years. 240 days and according to Yarn mill, if the worker works for 480 days continuously, he should be made permanent. We realise that he was not made as permanent staff. So reach TTCU union or reach any unions. We can file a case. There is a chance of getting salary of a permanent salary. So we can file a case in court to make him permanent.
