I am Sumathi from PTS. Construction workers were announced to give Pongal gift on 10th to 13th. The allocation was given far away and workers had to go far to collect it and they have to pay almost Rs.300 bus fare to reach the place. Even if the workers go there sometimes they face challenges of not renewing the card. Workers without renewal was not given and made to go on round. Many issues were faced so workers told us in union. We told them after so much of protest Govt is giving this and there is fund in construction workers welfare board. No one is giving it free of cost. We have also protested for domestic helpers and requested to allot fund. Nothing is given for free. So we domestic helpers should also protest and get it.

I am Pushparani from Vadanimalai. Yesterday protest was conducted in labour welfare office for a company in slum. I saw many TV channels in the protest. I saw Palani bharati, Dhanalakshmi, Sujatha Modi in TV. 130 workers of that company were stopped from work and protest for that in DMS is really appreciable. Bharati spoke very well that everyone should get back their work. I really appreciate you.
I am Karpagam from Perumbakkam. I lost my husband so i was not in contact with UK from last few months. I didnt go to work and i was at home. I have lost something which I shouldnt have lost. Our PTS helped me and I am really thankful to them. They supported me and called me regularly. Thanks to everyone. Today few people came to Chemmanchery for renewal. We have renewed it. for more than we have done it. I will continue my work and i have started it from 8th.

I am Pushparani. Veni from Kanniyammal nagar said Govt has banned the workers in wine shop who are above 50 years. But why cant the customers above the age of 50 cant be barred? Will corona wont affect customers above 50 years? The amount of Rs.2500 given by Govt for Pongal will go directly to wine shops. Veni has spoken well.
