I am Palani bharati. GAFWU was started in the year 2009 and now its completing 11 years. On 26th January we are conducting the meeting at Thirukulakundram at VA school. More than 300 garment workers will participate in it. Sujatha Modi our union head will talk in the meeting and many important things will be decided. Also laws related to garment workers will be discussed. Works done in 11 years, challenges faced, how to rectify it will be discussed. We should also discuss whether this Govt is in favour of workers or not. Many things will be discussed. So please all garments workers take part in it. Also requesting all other workers to listen to UK radio for live updates. You can listen and get updated. These laws will be applicable to all workers. Also we should aim to bring laws for unorganised workers. So everyone do listen to UK. If you know garment workers join them in our union.
