I am Karpagam from Perumbakkam. In this lockdown only few relaxation has been given in Chennai, Kanchiuram, Thiruvallur, Chengalpet. Many domestic helpers, house keeping staffs are affected due to this. They were somehow managing their daily needs, paying rent with whatever they were getting. But now they are struggling alot. And they also doesnt know how to express it outside. And many are saying they dont know how to manage things. In this community there are almost 10000 people living and among them almost 9000 plus women are domestic helpers, tailors, etc. They are not going for work. In many houses they have said to domestic helpers till January. Govt should show them the way. How long can we eat with ration rice and Rs.1000 given in the ration shop. The rice given is sufficient for only 10 days. If there are 6-7 people in one house, the rice will be sufficient for 4-5 days. Dont know what will they do. Govt should take some action and streamline it.
