I am Karpagam from Perumbakam. There are many people affected badly due to corona in our area. Some people are not able to go to medical help. Few people are suffering without food. Some people struggling they are not able to pledge gold in bank or in pawn brokers. Many people are struggling for food. There are 200 houses here. Few people are struggling for food. I met few people and helped them and bought rice and lentils for them. Kumari also joined with me and gave some money. We asked for sponsor from outside. Thanks to that good soul for helping. We have helped 7-8 people who are struggling for food. We have bought vegetables in our own expenses. What i would like to tell to Govt i, it will be good if they get help related to food. Every family is struggling for money. Rs. 1000 and provision given in ration shop is not sufficient. The house where i work, they gave last month salary but this month we are st home. SO we cannot ask or money. After this problem gets over and when we go to work, we dont know what will happen. If they give salary dont know whether they will continue to respect us or not. I feel they may dominate us. Because when we ask for advance salary, they give extra work. Now we dont know how will they treat us when they give 1 month salary. I know this will happen. I asked for Rs. 1000 advance and they gave it. Next Sunday they told me to come for work on sunday because guests are coming. I couldnt say no. If this is my situation what will be the situation of others. What Govt is going to do for this. Not only domestic helpers but also many workers are affected. It will be great if Govt helps us financially. Rs. 1000 is not sufficient. We are asking Govt because we dont have money. Govt should given Rs. 10000 to 15000 per family.
