I am Vimala from Mogappair. On Monday 29th camp was organised in Tirumangalam. I took many people from my area. We got forms for everyone. One incident was deeply hurting for me. One officer asked domestic helper in a lame way, are you doing domestic work. Domestic helpers should not dress nicely, thy should be slaves,this is what society thinks. I wanted to ask to that officer. But i thought this will affect others too. So i just kept quiet. This was an example that women are women's enemies. Actually Govt staffs and people in good situation are hesitant to pay good salary to domestic helpers. But those who are in middle class will give. Just these high level people ask the questions like in which house do you work, give me the address, etc. Please tell about this in UK. People think that women should be slaves. Even gents feel pity and they support that domestic helper should dress well. But these ladies treat badly. Attending camp was new experience and it was a bad too.
