S: What work are you doing? V: I am doing tailoring job from home. S: How did you came to know about union? What all did you do after joining union? Please tell in detail. V: I was a head in Women's group. Already i had PTS membership card. We were not given the renewal card. So i was waiting to get it searching contact to know how to get it. AT that time i was introduced to Vijayalakshmi sis. Even she is from our area. She asked me whether are we a members in PTS. I told that i am already in women group so i have not joined there. I have the card but i have not registered in it. I also told her to join us in PTS. She took us to Ambattur office. Then PTS took us to Tiruvallur and renewed our card. After renewal many have got scholarship, funeral benefit fund, pension, spectaculars. Even i have got scholarship for my son and daughter. Vijayalakshmi sis introduced me to PTS. After joining PTS i ahve been to Maharashtra and spoke to women from many other states. After that visit we conducted the meeting in Chennai and gave information about the meeting. I would like to thank PTS, Urimai kural and Sujata modi mam for this. Santhanamari mam, Sumathi mam, Kani cooperates with us. If there is anything, they ask us to come to office and they tell us.
