My husband is an auto driver in Chemmanchery. Many of his auto driver friends were struggling at rented house without own house. One person he told them that he will get them house and collected money from everyone. We trusted him and didnt get get his signature in any documents. Some gave Rs.80000 and some gave Rs.1 lakh. My husband gave Rs.80000. Days passed and its been 5 years but he didnt get us the house. Whenever we asked him, he said he will give. When we all went to his house they all came to hit us. Finally he himself went and gave the complaint. Police called us for investigate. We told the police that he cheated us. Actually we were supposed to file the complaint. but he himself gave the complaint. Then we asked the Sub inspector to give us justice. He asked everyone what work are we doing. then the inspector said you should never cheat the domestic helpers. So give their money back as per your self conscience. That person said ok and made us roam again for 4-5 days. Then i got an idea of calling our madam and getting some advice. I called her and asked for advice. Madam asked us to go and complaint to the women officer. I went there and told her that i am a member in PTS and our mam Sujatha. That officer said she will inquire. Next day Santhanamari madam and Sumathi mam came and took us to talk. Next day he gave Rs.5000 to everyone and said he will repay the remaining money in installment basis. he said 20th he will give money. Mam said lets wait till 20th and see what happens. Then we can take action.
