I don't know how many of you know about judgement on one of cleaning staff of Anna University Madurai, had filed case for forcing her to do household works of principal. For this Justice T. Raja has given a decision that, cleaning staff Mahalakshmi has to pay Rs.25000 within 4 weeks to Anna University Principal Chitradevi. The reasons for this judgement is - "If a cleaner is working on a daily wage basis, it is her duty to clean the entire campus including toilets, she should wash the clothes is her duty. So a petitioner cannot be exempted from this. This is his opinion. If a domestic helper is appointed, it is her duty to clean the toilets and washing the clothes including inner wears is her duty. They are appointed to do such kind of work. If they say they cannot clean the toilets, it is not acceptable. Both parties involved in this belongs to the same cast. So it is not accepted if it is based on cast. During the police investigation, it is clear that the fault is with petitioner. So i am dismissing this case he said." Dear friends even though the cleaning staffs are appointed on daily wage system, how can she be forced to do household works. From this we can understand "What kind of justice is this?
