Yesterday all of a sudden Police started evicting people in Chinnamathur and they started Lathi charge, we already published the news regarding that. Regarding this issue we on behalf of Urimai kural spoke to Tiruvallur collector. They have hit many women and few got scared and tried to commit suicide. One girl has burnt herself. Such issues continue to happen and we spoke to Dist. collector to stop it immediately and we also spoke to Commissioner of Women. In this eviction, police didnt allow any of them to take their things and they destroyed everything. No officials or MLAs has visited them. We can see the differentiation made by Government. They treat poor people differently and rich people differently. We can see that slowly democracy is disappearing.
